Fly me to the moon.

No, I will never fly there, or probably anywhere, but I did get to go round Aberdeen Airport to see what they have done to make it dementia and disabled friendly.

Obviously, most of it is bright so I had to wear my wraparounds, but otherwise it was good. There is a lot of assistance available with fast lanes etc. The Changing Places toilet was big and sign posted.

Unfortunately, the therapy dogs weren’t there, but can be brought in on demand and they also have a timetable for when they are there. I was told when they go through security they just lie down and like getting their tummies tickled. Passengers, and staff, find them very calming; must be handy if there are delays!
